We are currently accepting reservations and inquiries about the VILLAGE OF HOPE with
40 to 60 single family ESSENTIAL HOMES.

To be eligible to live at the Village of Hope, you must:

Be chronically homeless

Chronically homeless means living in a place not meant to be lived in for at least one year, and having at least one qualifying disability.

Have been in La Plata County for at least one year

Have an ability to pay rent
This could include SSI, SSDI, working off-site, or on-site employment through Community Works.

Note: Having a criminal record does not necessarily disqualify you from CFV; however, we do not accept anyone on the sex offender registry or found in OFAC/terrorist database records.

The situations you are living in may qualify you if you are experiencing the following:
  • Employed in La Plata County or nearby communities
  • You pay more than one-third of your income on rent
  • Your household income is under $49,528 annually (less than 80% of Area Median Income)

  • Your rent is over $900 monthly including utilities
  • You live in your vehicle
