Community Compassion Outreach is proud to announce our partnership with the United Methodist Thrift Store in Durango. On August 12th, 2020, we picked up six tents that were donated to the Thrift shop as per a recent partnership between our organization and the United Methodist Thrift Store Director.

Used and donated tents will be inspected and reserved for people experiencing homelessness in La Plata County. Please contact us to inquire. Some tents are not rated and are FREE As Is!
  • We reserve the right to refuse a tent to anyone who loses a tent more than once.
  • Only one tent will be issued to an individual or family.
The City of Durango and County of La Plata ban camping on private properties and city or county properties. Check with the Durango Police Department or the La Plata County Sheriffs Department to learn where you may set up camp while you stay in or around Durango.

If you are new to Durango, we suggest you consider staying at Purple Cliffs where they receive donated foods and other provisions on a daily basis.
