YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
CCO offers peer-based recovery support services (P-BRSS) in Southwest Colorado to anyone looking for a pathway out of substance/alcohol misuses and behavioral health conditions toward wellness.
  • Choosing recovery is not an easy decision.
  • We often need someone there to listen.
  • We need someone who is committed to our successful recovery.

Our lived-experience is just a story . . . maybe similar to yours—a reference point to understand that you are not alone in your struggle.
. . .YOU have the will to stop unwanted behaviors
. . .YOU have the courage to be vulnerable by sharing your story with a trusted peer
. . .YOU can succeed in a self-determined recovery plan we help create
  • YES! Recovery is possible for YOU!
The Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) definition of recovery:
Recovery is a process of change through which people improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential.
There are four major dimensions that support recovery:
  • Health—overcoming or managing one’s disease(s) or symptoms and making informed, healthy choices that support physical and emotional well-being.
  • Home—having a stable and safe place to live.
  • Purpose—conducting meaningful daily activities and having the independence, income, and resources to participate in society.
  • Community—having relationships and social networks that provide support, friendship, love, and hope.
