CCO Volunteer Team welcomes individuals (ages 18+) with a passion to serve people struggling to survive and to exit homelessness!
Help us to plan and to implement projects to benefit the people we serve in Durango, La Plata County, Colorado.
Our PURPOSES according to CCO's Bylaws, Article II.2.01 are as follows:
Community Compassion Outreach exists to assist individuals and families to survive and to exit homelessness, including people of poverty. CCO may provide our constituencies with the following charitable and information activities:
B. Donating new or used items
C. Find employment
D. Provide relief of the poor and distressed
E. Send out ambassadors
F. Foster positive justice
G. Coordinate activities with organizations that mutually share in our interests.
Various projects to accomplish each activities require tracking and implementation. Training will be given to new volunteers. We are meeting a number of new volunteers and interested parties on January 19, 2019.

CCO became a nonprofit on March 29, 2018. The IRS determination letter dated August 2018 recognizes Community Compassion Outreach (CCO) as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
Form 990 will be filed in 2010 for our first nine months of operation as a nonprofit organization. As soon as our CPA completes the form for review and acceptance of our Board, we will make it available here for downloads. (NOTE: CCO started as a church program in January 2017 and has evolved into a more effective organization since our nonprofit status was determined.)
